Since all dogs are different, like all other anti-bark devices, the results from a citronella collar may be different depending on size and breed of your dog. Statistically we have found that a higher rate of success is seen with smaller dogs when using a citronella collar.
This does not mean that the citronella collar doesn’t work on larger breeds.
As you increase in size of dog, other anti-bark alternatives to the citronella collar, such as a shock collar, are available if the citronella collar does not result in significant reduction in barking.
We recommend always starting with the citronella collar and only moving to other devices if needed.
